Letter From the Chairman

On January 11, 2014 our first scientific session was held and I was elected as the chairman. Since I am new to this position I am still leaning all of the details and nuances that comes with this wonderful challenging job. As I continue to work diligently with your help, I want to increase awareness and development for the medicine of personal genome in Japan. As you may know Japan has a rapidly increasing aging population with many hospitals being overcrowded. As of now doctors are treating patients after their illness or disorders have been found, but due to mandatory annual medical checkups, we can discover some of these complication in the early stages. Now, because of new technology development we can check our own personal genome information in a timely manner at a low cost. So we truly believe using this new technology to connect personal genome medicine to people and our society. We would be pleased for you to join us and thank you for your corporation.
